Downtown Jackson Hole Proposal | K + J

One of our favorite winter love stories from this past year was Jack’s surprise proposal to Kenlee in Jackson Hole!  While our area is known for the beautiful Grand Tetons and most of our work showcases that, winter is also a fun time of year for shooting in downtown Jackson.  I tell people all the time if you’ve never visited during this time of year, downtown can feel a little like a Hallmark movie!  The iconic arches all lit up as the sun goes down, ice skaters in town square, and the daily snow shower really give our small town that little bit of holiday winter magic.  For our couples that decide to get engaged while they are in town, it can make for a perfect backdrop if they’re not wanting to leave the comforts of town to go adventure in the snow.  It can also make it easier if you’re including family.

Like many of our proposal clients, there’s always an element of surprise and strategy that comes into play.  Essentially, how do I plan this from states away, while being in good enough communication to not mess anything up, but also not giving away the surprise?  Well, shout out to Jack’s mom!  She was a huge help in ensuring that Jack could plan this for Kenlee while also keeping everything a secret.  She was in touch with us the day of to help coordinate perfect timing and as the big moment approached we were stoked to finally meet these two.  Kenlee had no idea and her reaction to Jack getting down on one knee said it all!  The excitement and emotion only grew from there when Jack and Kenlee’s families showed up to join in on the surprise!  It was one of those evenings we can’t help but smile when thinking about, and one of those amazing reminders of why it is we love getting to do what we do for a living!  Congrats to Jack and Kenlee and we hope you all enjoy!
