Jackson Hole is a town that’s known for many things. Oftentimes people hear the name and immediately their brains go to skiing! During the summer it’s a town where many families and world travelers alike flock to witness the wonders that are Yellowstone and the Grand Teton National Park. Of course, you can’t forget about the fall season (our fav!) where the leaves start to paint the beautiful landscapes and the temps are perfect for an evening drink over the fire. Last but not least, there’s August! For our area, August is the epitome of an in between month. Most of the folks from summer have come and gone. It’s far from the much anticipated ski season, and it’s still warm, and not quite fall. To be honest, it’s one of our favorite months here because things aren’t quite as busy, but don’t tell anybody. August also happens to be when Rachelle and Zane said their I dos in Grand Teton National Park! By everyone’s account, August is an in between month but by the time you’re done with this one, we hope when you think August in Jackson Hole, you’ll think Rachelle and Zane!
Rachelle and Zane said their I dos at the always popular Schwabacher Landing! If you’ve never visited this location, it needs to be on your list when you visit JH! Whether you’re trying to catch that perfect reflection of the tetons on the Snake River at sunrise, or you’re having your elopement, it’s hard to have a bad day at Schwabacher! As if the Snake River and Grand Tetons backdrop weren’t enough, Rachelle and Zane also had special visitor for their wedding ceremony. A massive Bull Elk decided to pop out about 10 minutes beforehand. Of course everyone was excited about it and naturally we all snapped away to grab a few shots as we didn’t think he would be there very long. In our experience usually when a large crowd shoes up, Elk will start to move further away. To our surprise, this one decided to stick around throughout the entire ceremony. Between the emotion of Rachelle and Zane’s vows, the majesty to the Grand Teton range as their back drop, and now the one in a million chance of of a bull elk beautifully photo bombing their big day, it’s easy to see why this one was so special to us!  We hope you all enjoy this one as much as we did! Big congrats to Rachelle and Zane!
