Surprise Proposal Jenny Lake| K + W

    What do old school country music, the grand tetons, and engagements have in common?  Whitney and Kody’s surprise proposal at Jenny Lake of course!  This past fall in the Jackson Hole area, we were blessed to be a small part of Kody and Whitney’s big moment!  Like all of our proposal clients, it always takes a little planning and coordination for the perfect plan to come together.  Kody planned everything to a T with us and it made for a truly special evening for him and Whitney.  We took our usual approach of arriving early and dressing down to just blend in, in plain site like any other landscape or wildlife photographer.  When we saw Kody and Whitney approaching so we played it cool & casual, and that’s when it happened.  Kody had another surprise up his sleeve he didn’t mention to us which really ended up setting the stage for such sweet proposal.  After taking in the view for a few, Kody queued up some music and these lovebirds embraced in a slow dance on the beautiful shores of Jenny Lake.  As their romantic dance came to an end, Kody dropped to one knee and the rest was history.  The next few minutes were filled with warm hugs and happy tears from both of them.  I think we ended up spending the first 5-10 minutes just talking to these two.  Safe to say they were our people.  Whitney was excited to learn that Kody had arranged a little sunset session for them both!  Their sweet chemistry carried on into golden hour and these two rocked it!  It’s a rarity to get Jenny Lake beach all to yourself but these two did which made it feel even more like everything was perfectly meant to be.  Many congrats to Kody and Whitney on their engagement, and as always, we hope you enjoy following along!
